RESUME of LISA MITTS PATRICK
I graduated with Scholastic Merit from Western State University, College of Law, Fullerton, in 1987, in the top 12% of my graduating class. I acted as Co-Director, and participated in the founding of the Western State University Women's Law Association, aiding charitable organizations, and bringing legal issues relating to women, to the forefront of student awareness. As a result of my involvement, I had the opportunity to meet many influential people, including numerous Superior Court judges and community lawyers.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton in 1984. I resided for twenty-five years in the City of Fullerton; for seven years I lived in the South Orange County area of Rancho Santa Margarita, and for the past roughly ten years here again in Fullerton with my husband and two daughters.
I have worked previously in family law, and thereafter from 1985 to 1991, with the highly regarded law firm of Allen & Flatt, Inc. doing plaintiffs' personal injury (pre-litigation and litigation.) I started my solo practice in 1991, specializing in bodily injury, disability, and insurance-related claims. I also engage in general legal practice including probate, wills and living trusts, contract, collection and general business matters. I also do real estate and infrequently, family law.
I am admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of California (Federal Court.) I am a member of the State Bar of California. I am a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of California. I was a member of the adjunct faculty of Western State University, College of Law, Irvine, having taught legal writing and research courses. I am an arbitrator for the Orange County Bar Association, Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program, assisting in the resolution of Attorney-Client and Attorney-Attorney fee disputes. I also am on the Judge Pro Tempore (Pro Tem) panel for the Orange County Superior Court, and assist Judges in resolving civil cases through court ordered settlement conferences.
I am also known as Elizabeth.
